Well I'm waiting...

by RC Comics Staff on 11/05/11

Growing up, there were things in my life that I could guarantee you as fact. My father would buy a Chevy, and that Chevy would have Mobile gasoline in it. Since we are nothing more than byproducts of our parents, I picked up on those loyalty traits my father exhibited. When I was in school, I bought Marvel comics. My friends and I actually would make fun of people that were reading DC comics. We had no reason why, it's just the way it was. So, now I'm older. I've traded in all my Chevies, and my driveway is filled with Fords. I drive past the Mobile station to get to the Hess station, and with the New 52, I have quickly become a DC Guy. Heck, the only Marvel comic I get these days is Captain America... and let's face it, it would be unpatriotic to drop that from my subscription list, and no one wants that. So if you actually read these blogs, you'd see I was strongly against the New 52, I thought it was a slap in the face to comic collectors, but now I see it as GENIOUS! The stories have been amazing, and I find myself finishing one issue and impatiently waiting for the next. So I talk with other comic fans and we contemplate how Marvel will retaliate to this epic onslaught from DC... and we wait... And wait... Now I know it hasn't been that long, but Marvel doesn't seem to be batting an eyelash, like nothing just happened. Which I for one find odd. Will they do anything? If so what possibly could top a reboot of your entire universe? Well, I'm waiting...

My family grew up with DC but I am starting to become a marvel fan but I still love DC. I really like Captain America and kind of Spiderman,Avengers,Fantastic Four, and sort of X-Men. I feel like people either like Marvel comics DC comics or Dark Horse Comics. Well I also think that people are not as into collecting old comics, either they read them digitily or they read the most recent ones like Avengers vs X-men. Last night I saw 2 Dick Tracy Comics for 2 or 3 dollars. What a steal. Also, saw the first Batman comic with Poison Ivy in it. Right now I'm not sure that I am that into Avengers vs X-Men yet but I am definetly into old stuff so let them roll in, especially Dick Tracy. - Christopher :)
